4/1/01 12:28 Strike Teams from Victor Harbor, Yankalilla and Lofty Groups (total of 9 fire appliances and 2 command vehicles) assemble for lunch during 'blackout' operations of one of the two fires at Wisanger KI, which were started by lightning strikes. The above assembly point being located at a farm house which was saved from fire which burnt on all sides. With several square kilometres of farming and bushland burnt out.

4/1/01 20:04 After spending about 12 hours on the fire ground at Wisanger, crews prepare to be fed and relieved on the fire ground and prepare for their second day on Kangaroo Island.


4/1/01 While the first crews from the Victor Harbor CFS Group were cleaing up the Wisanger fire, a second lot of crew from the Victor Harbor CFS Group were sent to a another fire outbreak at Mount Taylor on Kangaroo Island that same evening.
